Modern Equipment for a Better Hunting Experience
One of the biggest differences between Wild North Outfitters and many other Ontario black bear outfitters is our commitment to investing in modern, reliable equipment. The last thing you want on the bear hunting trip you've always dreamed about is for your hunt to be interrupted by broken-down vehicles or poorly maintained equipment.
We operate a fleet of three Honda Pioneer 1000-5s, one Honda Pioneer 700-4, and one Can-Am Commander 1000 side-by-side UTVs. These machines allow us to safely transport hunters deep into our Bear Management Area over rugged trails, rocky terrain, and remote logging roads. Combined with our newer pickup trucks and trailers, our vehicles are routinely inspected and maintained to ensure they're dependable and ready for every hunt.
Hunter comfort is just as important as reliability. We maintain a large inventory of quality pop-up blinds and comfortable 360-degree swivel chairs, allowing you to stay comfortable and focused while spending long hours in the stand waiting for that opportunity of a lifetime.
Before heading into the woods, every hunter is welcome to use our on-site shooting range to confirm their rifle is properly sighted in or use one of our archery targets to check the accuracy of their bow or crossbow. Taking a few practice shots before the hunt provides confidence and peace of mind, ensuring your equipment is ready when that trophy bear finally steps into range.
When it comes time to recover your bear, we've also invested in equipment that makes the process safer and more efficient. Our skinning facility features twin electric overhead winches and powerful LED lighting, allowing us to skin, process, and prepare your animal efficiently—even after dark.
One of the most important investments we've made is our large walk-in cooler and freezer. Proper care of your trophy is a top priority, and cooling your bear as quickly as possible helps preserve both the hide and meat in excellent condition for your taxidermist and meat processor.
From the moment you arrive until it's time to head home, we've invested in the equipment, facilities, and infrastructure needed to provide a safe, comfortable, and first-class guided hunting experience. It's one more reason hunters continue to return to Wild North Outfitters year after year.
