HOME-COOKED MEALS AT WILD NORTH OUTFITTERS
The True Stars of the Show
The true stars of the show? Our cooks.
Without a doubt, they are some of the hardest-working members of the Wild North Outfitters team. While we can't control the weather or when a big black bear decides to visit your bait site, we can control the experience you have back at camp—and that starts with the food.
Long before the hunters wake up, our kitchen is already buzzing as breakfast is prepared from scratch. Once breakfast is finished, it's time to start lunch, and before you know it, dinner is already underway. In between meals, our cooks are busy baking fresh homemade desserts for everyone to enjoy after another exciting day in the woods. While most hunters are winding down for the night, our cooks are often still in the kitchen cleaning up, preparing for the next day, and are usually among the last people in camp to head to bed.
At Wild North Outfitters, everything is homemade. You won't find boxed macaroni and cheese or peanut butter sandwiches on our menu. We believe that after spending long hours in the woods, our hunters deserve meals they'll genuinely look forward to every day.
Along with our homemade meals, we provide a variety of beverages throughout your stay, including water, assorted soft drinks, coffee, tea, orange juice, apple juice, and milk. Guests are also welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages and store them in one of our camp refrigerators.
A Typical Week's Menu
Our menu changes throughout the season, but a typical week may include:
Slow-roasted turkey dinner with all the fixings
Prime rib
Barbecue ribs
Philly cheesesteak sandwiches
Homemade chicken stir-fry
Fresh salads and veggie side dishes
Save Room for Dessert
Some of our camp favorites include:
Lemon meringue pie
Pecan pie
Carrot cake
Fresh-baked cookies
And plenty of other homemade treats throughout the week
By the end of your hunt, you'll probably have a hard time deciding what you enjoyed more—the hunting or the meals.
In fact, the most common complaint we hear isn't about the hunt... it's that our guests gained a few pounds! That's one complaint we're more than happy to take responsibility for.
Our goal is simple: to provide an unforgettable Ontario black bear hunting experience, incredible home-cooked meals, and a camp atmosphere where lifelong memories and friendships are made.
Come hungry—we'll take care of the rest. You'll leave with a full belly, great memories, and friends you'll look forward to seeing again.
